I was given the chance to review and offer a giveaway of PediaCare! I was pretty excited to try this as my 9 year old daughter is REALLY picky about medicine! She doesn't like liquids, she doesn't like Cherry (I have to say I agree), she changes her mind frequently about what it is she will take. When my PediaCare products showed up, I was disappointed as it was...are you ready? CHERRY flavored! She won't even try this, I thought. You know you can't just give a child medicine if they don't need it so this did sit here for a week or two and then she came to me complaining of pain in her mouth I think it was. She was at the dentist yesterday, she had a sore spot back by her molars that she wasn't able to get her toothbrush back to. Anyway, I told her I had the PediaCare and the first thing she asked was what flavor. I said, hmmm, I don't know... ;) Well, she looked at it and decided she would try it especially since it would be helping mom with her review! I opened the package and poured the product into the dosing cup. I absolutely love the new dispenser! It squirts in not pours, it's so easy! Then came the moment of truth...as I slid the cup over the counter to my daughter, I held my breath. she took a little sip, made that face like she was thinking about if she liked it and then she said "I like it!" she then took all of the dose without the normal battle that goes on for hours! I was so relieved! She felt the pain relief was quick and I was more than pleased with this product! I was given the PediaCare Cherry flavored syrup with the Easy Pour cap! At some point in your child's life, you are going to need this product! Below is some info on it and then the giveaway guidelines! Thanks for reading my review and participating in my giveaway!
GOOD LUCK!
Acetaminophen is one of the most commonly used pain and fever relievers for infants and children and is safe and effective when used as directed. This month, dosing has been made even easier for parents and safer for children as the new PediaCare® single-concentration acetaminophen products hit store shelves. But what does this mean for parents?
One of the leading children’s pain relievers, PediaCare® will also offer additional product enhancements, including age-appropriate dosing devices. Infant products will now contain a special dosing syringe and flow restrictors on the bottles; children’s products, for ages 2 to 11 years, will have the bottles with flow restrictors, and continue to contain dosing cups. Both infant and children’s formulations will continue to have weight-based instructions on the package, as well.
While the new single-concentration for PediaCare® infants’ and children’s acetaminophen products will be among the first to hit store shelves, parents should know that there will be a "transition period" during which the existing infant products and the new acetaminophen infant PediaCare® products may be on store shelves simultaneously. The new infants’ formula is less concentrated and the dose is therefore more than in the older infant formulation. And while reading and following package directions is always recommended to obtain accurate dosing instructions, it will be important, while the two concentrations are available, to select the dose that is proper for the specific product version that is being given. Parents and caregivers should ask a healthcare professional if they have any questions.
The voluntary changes to single-concentration acetaminophen dosing demonstrate the continued commitment to accuracy, safety and innovation fromPediaCare®.
While PediaCare® products will continue to offer effective pain/fever relief, here are a few key highlights:
